AJR Have seen in the newspaper that Duchray Castle, in Scotland, is up for sale. Have managed to obtain the sales particulars from the estate agents marketing the property. Makes interesting reading, but at Ł950,000, is somewhat out of my price range. Comes with 90 acres of land, including 6 miles of river fishing.

toughguy12 Well, in the first place, why would anybody sell those castles?!?! Those are pieces of history! Why do they just sell them!?

AJR There may be a number of reasons. The first that comes to mind is that the owner has died. Or possibly the owner can no longer cope with the demands and costs of the maintenance - 90 acres is a large garden !!!
Or maybe they just want to move house - something I did at the beginning of the year.
